Weekly Update - 9.1.24

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.

Happy Labor Day! I hope you have a great weekend celebrating with family, friends, and loved ones.

As we take a moment to celebrate hardworking Americans, I am reminded of a quote from our great President Ronald Reagan, “I would match the American worker against any in the world.”

Pennsylvania is home to some of the hardest workers in the world. We have been blessed with grit, discipline, and determination to get a job done. Throughout history, the nation has called upon Pennsylvania workers to produce energy, forge steel, and build our nation. This Labor Day, we celebrate all those who lace up their boots, pick up their lunch pail, and work to improve our communities.

On Friday, I joined President Donald J. Trump in Johnstown. This was President Trump’s first visit to western Pennsylvania since the assassination attempt was made in Butler County. The failed Harris-Biden policy agenda has deeply impacted the people of Johnstown and southwestern Pennsylvania. From out-of-control inflation to their war on domestic energy production, Pennsylvania families are struggling. We can fix this by re-electing President Trump and a Republican Congress to implement the American First Agenda to get our economy moving again, eliminate inflation, secure our border, restore American strength on the world stage, and jumpstart our domestic energy production immediately. (Pictured below with President Trump and Leo Vergnetti)

I was honored to address the crowd before the President spoke. You can click here or below to watch my remarks.

President Trump delivered another great speech highlighting his commitment to Making America Great Again and his focus on Pennsylvania. He knows that Pennsylvania is the Keystone to winning back the White House and the Keystone to jumpstart American dominance. From our abundance of natural gas, coal, water, and other natural resources to our excellent workforce to our location, Pennsylvania will again play an essential role in executing President Trump’s plans to get America back on track after four failed years of the Harris-Biden agenda. The Biden-Harris White House has created a Broken Border, a Broken Economy, and a Broken World. Now we’re supposed to believe Harris will fix everything she broke. On Day One! Never mind doing it today while in office… that would require results, improvement, and accountability. What a bunch of… you know what! There is no way America will fall for their campaign of deception. I joined CNN on “CNN This Morning” to discuss further. Click hereor below to watch.

I also joined Newsmax’s “Wake Up America” to discuss Harris’ ownership of the failed agenda of the past four years. Click here or below to watch.

On Thursday, following Mark Zuckerberg's admission to censoring content on Meta, I wrote to him to discuss my serious concerns about Meta's practices related to content suppression and potential election interference. You can click here to read my full letter.

My letter highlights several key points:

  • Content Manipulation Under Government Pressure: I addressed Zuckerberg’s acknowledgment of Meta's decision to manipulate content on its platforms. I wrote, "Your dissemination of misinformation can easily be construed as election interference and very well may have impacted the 2020 presidential election. Your acknowledgment of censoring the New York Post’s article related to Hunter Biden’s laptop limited the open exchange of information related to a free and fair election."
  • Partisan Contributions Through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative: I raised concerns about the $400 million contribution from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative to The Center for Tech and Civic Life and The Center for Election Innovation and Research during the 2020 election cycle. "It’s my understanding derived from official FEC testimony, that nearly $25 million of those funds were used in four of the sixty-seven counties in Pennsylvania (Chester, Montgomery, Delaware, and Philadelphia). These counties, as you and your organization were aware, are heavily Democratic counties.” I highlighted that "the choice of organizations that the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative contributed to are in fact very partisan and have a long-standing record of being far left of center."
  • Illegal Ballot Harvesting Allegations: I pointed out the serious allegations regarding the involvement of these organizations in ballot harvesting, an illegal practice in Pennsylvania. "Ballot harvesting, Mr. Zuckerberg, is illegal in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania," Meuser reminds Zuckerberg. He underscores the potential legal consequences, stating, "Do understand that any actions taken that violate election law funded by you directly or via proxy organizations including indirectly supporting and paying for ballot harvesting could lead to all individuals and entities involved being held criminally liable." I also noted that "in Pennsylvania, ballot harvesting carries a penalty of up to fifteen thousand dollars in fines or seven years in prison or both (25 P.S.§ 3527)."
  • Demand for Neutrality and Compliance: I demanded that Zuckerberg uphold his commitment to neutrality and ensure compliance with election laws. "We demand that your assertion to 'be neutral and not play a role one way or another' be upheld and that any future funding will not be used in a way that breaks the law.” I stressed the importance of upholding "the ethical and legal standards of our election process to assure voter confidence."

We must ensure our election processes remain fair, transparent, and free from outside influence. Mr. Zuckerberg and his organization must be held accountable for their actions and ensure they promote unbiased information sharing for all Americans. This is paramount in restoring voter confidence among the electorate.

Check out my interview on the Bob Cordaro Show. We discussed the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and Mark Zuckerberg's admission that this Administration pressured Meta to censor content related to COVID-19 and the Hunter Biden laptop story. IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Another Day, Another Desperate Cover-Up.

According to her anonymous staffers, Kamala Harris is now desperately pivoting in favor of President Donald J. Trump’s iconic border wall.

That’s right, from the same Kamala who brought you:

  • "I’ve joined my colleagues to introduce a bill that would rescind Trump’s order to construct the border wall." (2017)

  • President Trump's border wall is "un-American." (2018)

  • President Trump's border wall is a "medieval vanity project." (2019)

  • "I'm not gonna vote for a [border] wall under any circumstances." (2019)

  • "This issue is about a vanity project ... that wall ain't going to stop [illegal aliens]." (2019)

  • "[President Trump's] vanity project called a wall." (2019)

  • "We don't need to build a wall ... It is not an emergency." (2019)

  • "A vanity project that he calls a wall." (2019)

  • "We cannot continue to have an administration and a president of the United States who puts his vanity projects ahead of the needs of the people." (2019)

  • "Trump's border wall is a complete waste of taxpayer money and won't make us any safer." (2020)

And, of course, she’s saying she wants Trump’s border wall. A majority of Americans (correctly) disapprove of the Harris-Biden administration’s reckless handling of the border.

She’s already shamelessly copied other ideas from President Trump and JD Vance. Why not add to that list while adding to her growing list of shameless pivots? The only significant policy idea she’s unraveled, an asinine price controls proposal, has been universally panned for never having worked; even her fellow Democrats are quietly pouring cold water on their presidential nominee’s Third World-esque plan.

But the real kicker here is that Kamala’s handlers are running a campaign meant for an alternative universe in which Kamala is NOT the current vice president. The only person above her in the hierarchy of the federal government, Joe Biden, has been mainly out of the limelight or on vacation since the successful coup against his re-elect bid. Kamala’s practically got the keys to the White House and is pretending she’s a brave new outsider.

If she cared about a border wall or border security writ large, she would’ve done something about it by now. You know, before over 10 million illegal immigrants crossed our southern border and before her border crisis began inundating border and non-border communities alike while bringing lethal drugs and crime right into Pennsylvania. She doesn’t even need congressional action to reinstate the commonsense border policies of the Trump administration, which she and Joe so recklessly dismantled quickly after getting into office.

Bottom Line: Kamala Harris might as well drop out and endorse President Donald J. Trump at this rate. She certainly wouldn’t be the first prominent Democrat to do so this week.

This week, we paused to remember the third anniversary of the Abbey Gate terrorist attack; we honor the 13 brave Americans who lost their lives because of the Biden-Harris Administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Let us never forget the heroes who sacrificed while serving our great country.

President Donald Trump is laying wreaths at the Arlington National Cemetery to commemorate their brave service to the United States of America.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris was nowhere to be found despite having an empty schedule.… This tells you all you need to know about who we need back in the White House.

On Monday, I was in Schuylkill County at the Schuylkill Country Club to support the Pennsylvania House Republican Campaign Committee as they raised funds to take back the majority in the state house.

On Tuesday, I had the pleasure of joining Americans for Prosperity - Pennsylvania and CONSOL Energy Inc. to discuss the far-reaching consequences of government mandates on renewable energy and the significant impact of U.S. energy policy on our economy and national security. CONSOL Energy employs over 1,500 Pennsylvanians and operates one of North America's largest underground coal mining operations, producing over 25 million tons of coal annually.

The Biden-Harris Administration’s continued assault on American energy has increased prices and made the United States vulnerable and more dependent on our foreign adversaries. We must fully leverage America’s energy potential to achieve energy dominance and secure our economic future and national security. Thank you to Senator Camera Bartolotta (SD-46), CONSOL Energy President & CFO Mitesh B. Thakkar, and PA Coal Alliance Executive Director Rachel Gleason for an insightful conversation and Faith Burns of AFP for moderating.

On Wednesday, I met with the leadership team of Dollar Bank, headquartered in Pittsburgh. Founded in 1855, it has grown to become the largest independent mutual bank in the United States, operating more than 90 offices across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Virginia while maintaining a connection to the communities it serves.

During the meeting, we discussed legislative efforts to improve access to capital for small businesses, support entrepreneurs, combat burdensome regulations, and build on the strong history of banking in the United States.

On Wednesday afternoon, I was happy to support Rob Mercuri, Republican candidate for the 17th congressional district, at a luncheon with many great energy industry leaders, including Toby Rice, President and CEO of EQT Corporation.

I enjoyed touring First National Bank Headquarters in Pittsburgh with Pennsylvania Bankers Association President Duncan Campbell.

During the tour, we discussed initiatives to ensure FNB can continue to serve its clients best. Keeping our banking system solid and competitive is crucial while protecting small businesses and promoting economic growth. I remain committed to advocating for policies that support our financial institutions and improve access to capital for small businesses across America and Pennsylvania.

Thank you to Chairman, President, and CEO Vince Delie and Senior Vice-President of Government Affairs John Weinstein for the opportunity to visit today. It was a pleasure to hear about the great work FNB is doing to benefit the community and invest in the region.

I had a great roundtable discussion on Wednesday evening with banking leaders across western Pennsylvania. Kevin Shivers of the Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers and Duncan Campbell from the American Bankers Association joined us. We discussed issues facing the lending industry.

On Thursday, I had a great time at the 172nd Annual Sullivan County Fair with Sullivan County GOP Chairman Don Cicero! I always enjoy being a part of such an important tradition that brings our community together to celebrate the rich agricultural heritage of Sullivan County. The fair, which dates back to 1851, continues to be a cornerstone of the region, showcasing local talent and fostering a deep appreciation for rural America.

On Thursday evening, I joined many great patriots in Luzerne County who are ready to work hard to ensure we get President Donald J. Trump back in the White House. The group heard what it would take to win from other conservative organizations and me. It’s going to take everyone doing their part. If you’d like to sign up to be a poll watcher and get involved, you can go to www.ProtecttheVote.com

Want to get involved in other aspects of our campaign to put President Donald J. Trump back in the White House? There is no better time. Please join me. Go to TrumpForce47.com and register to be a captain.

God Bless our great nation, God Bless our Republican Party, and God Bless President Donald J. Trump. I look forward to seeing you soon,

Dan Meuser
