Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update. This week, the House passed the Ratepayer Protection Act, which codifies President Donald J. Trump’s mandate that data centers commit to providing their own power. The legislation passed the House overwhelmingly. Unfortunately, the bill stalled in the Senate when one Democrat objected to its passage. Weekend Update - 9.13.26

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update. Twenty-five years ago, the September 11th attacks changed our country and our world forever. Many Americans still bear scars from that day, both physical and psychological. A few days after the attacks, I went to Lower Manhattan to deliver mobility scooters to first responders who were on their feet for days. While the sense of loss was overwhelming, the support and patriotism displayed by all in New York City and in communities across the nation inspired hope in all of us. On Friday, we marked the 25th anniversary of September 11th, Americans must come together to rededicate ourselves to the values that make the United States the greatest country in the world and remain vigilant to all threats to our Republic. Congressman Dan Meuser is a proven job creator and dedicated public servant and community leader. First elected to Congress in 2018, Dan currently Pennsylvania’s 9th District in. As a member of the 118th Congress, Dan currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee and Small Business Committee. On the Small Business Committee, Dan chairs the subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access.
