• Helped veterans, seniors, families, and small businesses resolve problems involving the IRS, Social Security, Medicare, veterans’ benefits, passports, and other federal programs.
• Passed the Investing in All of America Act, which President Trump signed into law to expand access to capital for small businesses, manufacturers, and rural communities.
• Led congressional efforts to combat financial fraud, protect consumers, and expose waste and abuse of taxpayer dollars.

On top of all the work we are doing back home, we are working equally as hard in Washington. Working with President Trump, we are advancing policies to unleash American energy, lower prescription-drug costs, support domestic manufacturing, strengthen border security, protect retirement savings, expand housing opportunities, strengthen America’s national security any economy and bring common sense to government.

President Trump recently called me “a very powerful Congressman” and “a great person.” I am proud to stand with him as we fight for a stronger economy, a secure border, energy independence, accountable government, and an America First agenda.

But our work is far from finished.

The radical Left and its special-interest allies are determined to reverse our progress. They want higher taxes, more regulation, weaker borders, and greater government control over the lives of hardworking Americans. We cannot allow that to happen.

I will continue fighting every day for Pennsylvania’s families, farmers, veterans, seniors, workers, and small businesses—but I need you standing with me.

MID YEAR UPDATE

Below are just some of the ways we have been working every day to deliver results for our district, strengthen our communities, and move Pennsylvania forward.

Over $17 Million for PA-09

So far this year, my office helped bring $17,046,849 back to Pennsylvania’s 9th District for 12 Community Funded Projects that will make a real difference in our communities. These projects strengthen emergency response, expand rural healthcare, support workforce training, improve roads and water infrastructure, enhance community services, and drive local economic growth.

Schuylkill County – $4.98 Million

• $2.225 million for Friendship Hose Co. No. 1 in Orwigsburg to construct a new fire station, ensuring modern emergency response capability for the community.
  
  
• $2 million for the Temple Rural Dental College Campus in Tamaqua to construct a new dental education facility and expand access to dental care across rural Pennsylvania.
  
  
• $750,000 for the Shenandoah Center for Health, Education, Business and the Arts to complete a federally qualified health center and business incubator space in downtown Shenandoah

Wyoming County – $2.35 Million

• $2.346 million for Wyoming County Healthcare Center Improvements to renovate and modernize the facility, restoring and expanding healthcare access for residents of Tunkhannock and surrounding communities.

Montour County – $1 Million

• $1 million for the Danville Area Community Center to renovate program areas and construct new childcare and community spaces.

Columbia County – $875,000

• $875,000 for the Bloomsburg Area YMCA Community Resource Hub to renovate and expand the facility, creating dedicated community service space and upgraded offices.

Lycoming County – $1.25 Million

• $1 million for the Williamsport Municipal Water Authority Transmission Water Main Replacement Project to upgrade aging water infrastructure and support long-term regional growth.
  
  
• $250,000 for the Pennsylvania College of Technology Forest Products Training Center to support facility upgrades and workforce training for careers in forestry and timber management.

Luzerne County – $4.2 Million

• $3.5 million for Dallas School District Community Center Improvements to expand wellness, recreation, and community programming for the Greater Back Mountain Region.
  
  
• $700,000 for the Old Airport Road Improvement Project to reconstruct roadway infrastructure and improve drainage and transportation reliability.

Northumberland County – $1.4 Million

• $1.4 million for Shamokin Wastewater Treatment Facility Upgrades to improve operational efficiency, enhance water quality, and help maintain affordable sewer rates.

Lebanon County – $1 Million

• $1 million for Downtown Lebanon City Improvements to construct a parking garage that supports economic development, housing growth, and improved downtown accessibility.

A total of 12 projects across the district received funding this year, supporting communities large and small throughout Northeastern and Central Pennsylvania.

Cutting Through Red Tape for Constituents

When I took office, my team and I set out to deliver the best constituent services in the country. Whether it’s resolving problems with federal agencies, or recovering money owed, we work every day to deliver results for the people of Pennsylvania’s 9th District.

So far this year, my office has:

• Assisted 883 constituents with federal casework matters.
• Completed 803 cases for residents across Pennsylvania’s 9th District.
• Recovered or saved more than $947.6 million for constituents and businesses.
• Helped residents resolve issues with the IRS, Social Security Administration, Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Personnel Management, Medicare, passports, military records, and other federal agencies.
• Conducted 24 Military Academy interviews for students seeking appointments to our nation’s service academies.

The top casework areas this year have included the IRS, Social Security, veterans’ benefits, and federal retirement issues.

Behind every case number is a person, family, veteran, senior, or small business trying to get a fair answer from the federal government.

• Northumberland County: Assisted a constituent in resolving an IRS issue involving her mother’s estate, resulting in a full refund plus interest.
• Lebanon County: Helped a constituent navigate USCIS scheduling issues related to a naturalization ceremony, helping provide certainty during the naturalization process.
• Luzerne County: Assisted a constituent in obtaining an IRS identification number needed to settle a deceased family member’s affairs.
• Schuylkill County: Assisted a senior whose Medicare premiums were being incorrectly deducted from Social Security payments.
• Schuylkill County: Helped a family obtain military records needed to arrange funeral honors for their father.
• Lycoming County: Worked with the Social Security Administration to correct a benefits issue that resulted in a constituent receiving more than $20,000 in previously unpaid benefits.

Serving veterans and military families remains a top priority. During the past year, my office has:

• Handled 60 Department of Veterans Affairs cases.
• Assisted 61 veterans and military families with service branch, military records, and related requests.
• Helped veterans and families obtain earned benefits, medals, awards, discharge documents, and military honors.
• Conducted 24 Military Academy interviews for students seeking appointments to our nation’s service academies.
• Whether you need help with the IRS, Social Security, Medicare, veterans' benefits, passports, immigration matters, or another federal agency, my team stands ready to assist.

Bringing Federal Dollars Back Home

In addition to securing $17 million in Community Funded Projects through Congress, my office worked with local communities, organizations, and federal agencies to help bring more than $200 million in additional federal funding to Pennsylvania this year.

Federal resources secured this year include:

• Helped facilitate the release of over $200 million in long overdue COVID-Era FEMA reimbursements to hospitals throughout the district.
• $5.6 million through Department of Health and Human Services programs supporting healthcare and community initiatives.
• $2.4 million in Community Development Block Grant funding to support local housing and economic development projects.
• $2.3 million for Head Start programs serving children and families.
• $1.5 million through the Federal Highway Administration for Shamokin’s Independence Street Project Phase II.
• $1.3 million through the Department of Justice to assist with DNA backlog reduction efforts.
• Secured $9.6 million through the Rural Health Transformation Fund created by the One Big Beautiful Bill to improve access to quality healthcare, strengthen rural hospitals and providers, and support long-term investments in healthcare services across our communities.

Combined with Community Funded Projects, these investments are helping improve infrastructure, strengthen public safety, expand healthcare access, support economic development, and improve quality of life throughout our region.

On the Ground Across District

Whether my team or I meet directly with constituents and local leaders, attending county meetings, community events, and district functions, we work every day to stay connected, responsive, and focused on local priorities.

So far this year, my office and I have:

• Attended 208 events across Pennsylvania’s 9th District.
• Held over 500 meetings with local governments, businesses, community organizations, educators, healthcare providers, and constituents.
• Presented 235 congressional citations recognizing outstanding individuals, organizations, businesses, schools, veterans, and community leaders.
• Maintained strong engagement with our county partners and attended more than 40 County Commissioner meetings this year.

In addition to meeting with constituents across the district, I have made it a priority to keep Pennsylvanians informed through local television, radio, newspapers, podcasts, and digital media. By sharing updates on important legislation, answering questions, and discussing the issues affecting our communities, we are making sure the voices of Pennsylvania's 9th District are heard in Washington, and that Washington's work is clearly communicated back home.

Together, my team and I will continue working directly with our communities to ensure Pennsylvania’s 9th District has a strong voice both at home and in Washington.

Advancing Commonsense Solutions

This Congress, I have been working to move results-driven legislation that expands economic opportunity, strengthens oversight, combats fraud, increases access to capital, lowers costs, and supports rural communities.

• Notably, H.R. 2066, the Investing in All of America Act of 2025, was recently signed into law by President Trump. This legislation increases capital available to small businesses, especially those in rural and underserved communities, manufacturing, and the critical technology sector, through the Small Business Investment Company program. By expanding investment opportunities at no subsidy cost to taxpayers, this law will help drive long-term growth in communities across Pennsylvania’s 9th District.

Additional legislation I have introduced includes:

• H.R. 7548 – Safeguarding Consumers from Advertising Misconduct (SCAM) Act
  • Cracks down on fraudulent and deceptive online advertisements by requiring social media companies to take reasonable steps to prevent scam ads, protect consumers, and reduce digital fraud.
• H.R. 7837 – Most Favored Patient Act of 2026
  • Helps lower prescription drug costs by requiring Medicare to receive Most Favored Nation pricing if manufacturers refuse to negotiate cost-saving agreements with the Administration.
• H.R. 8114 – Endless Mountains National Heritage Area Act
  • Designates Pennsylvania’s Endless Mountains region as a National Heritage Area to preserve local history and natural resources while supporting tourism and economic development.
• H.R. 8162 – Regulatory Review Improvement Act of 2026
  • Requires federal agencies to regularly review, update, or eliminate regulations that impose unnecessary burdens on small businesses.
• H.R. 8489 – HUD Payment Integrity and Accountability Act of 2026
  • Strengthens oversight of Department of Housing and Urban Development payment programs, improves accountability, and helps prevent improper payments and taxpayer waste.
• H.R. 8088 – Growing Deposit Insurance for the Future Act
  • Updates federal deposit insurance rules so coverage keeps pace with inflation, helping protect Americans’ checking and savings accounts coverage over time.
• H.R. 7401 – Small Business Lending Fraud Prevention Act
  • Requires SBA employees who review or approve loans to certify they have no prohibited conflicts of interest, strengthening fraud prevention in SBA lending programs.

Supporting Policies That Put America First

In addition to the legislation I have introduced, I have worked with colleagues across the country and across the aisle to advance solutions that support veterans, expand housing opportunities, strengthen retirement security, improve healthcare access for seniors, and promote American manufacturing.

  • Expands housing supply, promotes affordability, modernizes federal housing programs, bans institutional investors from owning single family homes, and helps communities address housing shortages.
• H.R. 3514 – Improving Seniors’ Timely Access to Care Act of 2025
  • Streamlines the prior authorization process under Medicare Advantage to help seniors receive medical care more quickly and reduce unnecessary delays.
• H.R. 8286 – Protecting Americans’ Retirement Savings From Politics Act
  • Protects retirement investments by ensuring financial decisions are based on maximizing returns rather than advancing political or ideological objectives.
• H.R. 3174 – Made in America Manufacturing Finance Act
  • Expands access to capital for manufacturers and helps strengthen domestic production, supply chains, and American competitiveness.
• H.R. 8313 – Trump Accounts for All Generations Act
  • Makes the Trump Accounts contribution pilot program permanent, helping children build long-term savings and financial security.
• H.R. 7550 – Permanent Tax Relief for Seniors Act
  • Makes permanent the senior tax deduction passed in the Working Families Tax Cut, providing long-term tax relief and financial certainty for older Americans.
• H.R. 1949 – Unlocking our Domestic LNG Potential Act of 2025
  • Cuts red tape on natural gas exports and strengthens American energy production by streamlining LNG approval authority.
• H.R. 6955 – Main Street Capital Access Act
  • Modernizes community bank rules to support local lending, small businesses, entrepreneurs, and Main Street economic growth.
• S.222 – Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act of 2025
  • Restores schools' ability to serve whole and 2% milk in school meal programs, giving students more nutritious dairy options while supporting American dairy farmers.
• H.R. 7008 – Stop Insider Trading Act
  • Prohibits Members of Congress, their spouses, and dependent children from purchasing individual publicly traded stocks, requires advance public notice before stock sales, and establishes penalties for violations to strengthen transparency and public trust.
• H.R. 5688 – Dalilah's Law
  • Strengthens commercial driver's license standards by requiring English proficiency, preventing illegal immigrants from obtaining CDLs, cracking down on fraudulent licensing practices, and increasing penalties for states that fail to enforce federal safety requirements.
• H.R. 1181 – Protecting Privacy in Purchases Act
  • Protects the privacy of law-abiding gun owners by prohibiting the use of firearm-specific merchant category codes to track lawful firearm and ammunition purchases and preventing the creation of a backdoor gun registry.

• H.R. 833 – Educational Choice for Children Act
  • Expands school choice by providing tax-credit scholarships to help families cover K-12 education expenses, including tuition, books, supplies, and other costs for public, private, and homeschool students.

Leading the Fight for Accountability

As Chairman of the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I am leading efforts to protect Americans from fraud, strengthen financial oversight, and confront emerging threats to our financial system.

This year, I convened multiple Congressional hearings and three roundtables with Members of Congress, private industry leaders, law enforcement officials, and federal regulators to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing American consumers and financial institutions. 

These discussions focused on:

• Combating payment fraud and scams targeting seniors, families, veterans, and small businesses by improving coordination between financial institutions, law enforcement, and federal regulators.
• Exposing the role of Chinese money laundering networks and cartel financing operations within the U.S. financial system.
• Investigating waste, fraud, and mismanagement in federally supported housing programs, including improper use of taxpayer funds and oversight failures that left residents without the safe, accountable housing they were promised.

This work is helping build a stronger national strategy to combat fraud, protect consumers, strengthen financial security, and safeguard Americans from increasingly sophisticated criminal enterprises.

Fighting Fraud at Home and in Washington

Fraud and scams continue to cost Americans billions of dollars each year, with seniors, veterans, families, and small businesses often among the primary targets. That is why my office has worked to raise awareness and help protect Pennsylvanians from increasingly sophisticated scams.

This year, those efforts have included:

• Recently participated in Vice President Vance's Fraud Task Force in Washington and presented multiple solutions to reduce both consumer and taxpayer fraud.
• Released Fighting Back: A Policy Framework for Combating the Rise of Financial Fraud & Scams, a comprehensive Subcommittee report outlining the biggest fraud threats facing Americans and recommending a coordinated national strategy to strengthen consumer protections, improve information sharing, and combat increasingly sophisticated scams.
• Hosted a Fireside Chat with House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill to discuss the need for stronger collaboration between law enforcement, regulators, financial institutions, and the private sector to better protect Americans from fraud and financial crime.
• Hosting a district-wide telephone town hall with Pennsylvania Attorney General Dave Sunday focused on fraud prevention and consumer protection.
• Producing and distributing radio public service announcement warning residents about common scams and fraud schemes.
• Working with county sheriffs and local law enforcement agencies throughout the district to share information and coordinate fraud prevention efforts.
• Sending informational mailers to constituents with resources and guidance on recognizing and avoiding scams.
• Maintaining a dedicated fraud and scam prevention resource center at meuser.house.gov/scams, where constituents can find educational materials, reporting resources, and consumer protection information.
• Protecting families, seniors, veterans, and small businesses from fraud is not just a law enforcement issue, it is a quality-of-life issue. My office will continue working to ensure Pennsylvanians have the tools, resources, and protections they need to stay safe from scammers and bad actors.

During the roundtable, Vice President Vance applauded Congressman Meuser for encouraging him to bring together Members of Congress and involve them in the task force's effort to combat fraud.

The Work Ahead

As Congress continues its work, my priorities remain focused on the issues that matter most to Pennsylvania families and businesses:

• Combating fraud and scams targeting seniors, veterans, and families.
• Rooting out government waste, abuse, and fraud.
• Expanding domestic energy production and strengthening American energy independence.
• Supporting small businesses through pro-growth tax and regulatory policies.
• Increasing access to capital for entrepreneurs and job creators.
• Strengthening healthcare access, particularly in our rural communities.
• Keep the border secure and protect our national security.
• Delivering responsible investments that improve infrastructure, public safety, and economic development throughout our district.
