This week, I questioned experts from the CIA, U.S. Treasury, and others during my Financial Services Committee Republican Subcommittee hearing on Chinese money laundering networks that are financing drug traffickers like the Sinaloa Cartel.

These networks are laundering billions of dirty cartel dollars to fuel the fentanyl crisis. This is a highly sophisticated operation that is killing American citizens. President Trump has taken bold action to address the fentanyl crisis, reducing cross-border fentanyl trafficking by 56% in just the first few months of his administration by closing our southern border and designating drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations.

Funding for the Department of Homeland Security has been held up for over 100 days because the Democrats would rather endanger our national security than fund immigration enforcement.

Over four years, nearly 15 million people entered our country illegally, and they're going to do everything they can to stop them from being deported.

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: The Secure America Act is a Pivotal Bill to Fund Law Enforcement Which Democrats Refuse to Support 

THE SECURE AMERICA ACT IS VITAL TO OUR NATIONAL SECURITY

• President Trump signed the Secure America Act, which will fund CBP and ICE through FY2029 with zero votes from Congressional Democrats.
• For too long, Democrats have used federal law enforcement as a bargaining chip for their radical agenda, but President Trump and Republicans put a stop to it.
• Democrats will no longer be able to defund ICE and CBP for the remainder of President Trump’s term – a triumphant victory for law enforcement and the safety of Americans.
• The bill will provide:
  • Paychecks for ICE and CBP officers.
  • Enhanced security to combat drug trafficking, including fentanyl.
  • Resources to better combat human trafficking.
  • Technological upgrades including drones and detection devices.
  • Body cameras, protective equipment, and uniforms.
  • Funding to swiftly remove illegal aliens from our country.

DEMOCRATS VOTE TO DEFUND LAW ENFORCEMENT

• Democrats have voted to defund law enforcement an astounding 36 times while shutting down the government three separate times since President Trump took office.
  • Senate Democrats voted against the Secure America Act.
  • Senate Democrats voted to defund law enforcement 17 times when they shut down DHS.
  • Senate Democrats voted 14 times to shut down the federal government, including DHS, during the government shutdown last year.
  • House Democrats voted 4 times against DHS funding during this year’s partial government shutdown.
• Just last month, 173 House Democrats voted against a resolution to support law enforcement.
• 211 House Democrats voted to defund ICE and CBP.
• A vote to defund law enforcement is an admission that Democrats wish to return to the failed and dangerous open border policies of the Biden administration.

THE NEED FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT FUNDING COMES AT A CRITICAL JUNCTURE

• Deranged leftists continue to attempt to assassinate President Trump.
• Illegal Immigrants continue to attempt to smuggle deadly drugs via America’s waterways.
• Left-wing agitators and Democrats continue to storm immigration facilities.
• The United States is hosting the World Cup, and the Department of Homeland Security will be working around the clock to keep Americans safe.
• Thanks to Republicans, DHS is funded so that:
  • The Cyber Infrastructure and Security Administration (CISA) can prevent cyberattacks.
  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will monitor natural disasters and fund police overtime and security for the World Cup.
• The Secure America Act is critical so that:
  • CBP can safely handle millions of fans traveling to our country.
  • ICE can prevent human trafficking, which is common at major sporting events.

PRESIDENT TRUMP AND REPUBLICANS HAVE DELIVERED THE MOST SECURE BORDER IN HISTORY

• After four years of open borders under Joe Biden, President Trump has delivered the most secure border in history.
  • For twelve straight months, there have been zero releases at the southwest border.
  • Daily apprehensions are down 95% from the Biden era, and there have been 15 consecutive months of fewer than 9,000 southwest border apprehensions.
• Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is keeping Americans safe, as in April 2026 alone, they seized:
  • 185,000 pounds of heroin, cocaine, marijuana, fentanyl, and other harmful drugs.
  • Nearly three million counterfeit goods valued at over $1.5 billion.
  • $810 million in shipments of potential forced labor violations.

This week, the House Administration Committee held a hearing with ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones, and she responded to him pleading the Fifth Amendment. In total, she invoked the Fifth Amendment 22 times, declining to answer questions about the organization's fundraising and donation-vetting practices. Click here or below to watch.

I spoke on the House floor in support of Rep. Pat Fallon’s sponsored Anti-Fraud Resolution condemning actors seeking to defraud the United States government.
Opposition to this bill is denying the existence of waste, fraud, and abuse. This resolution is pretty simple. It condemns fraudsters and recognizes that government-wide fraud and improper payment prevention reforms are necessary to improve the fiscal health of the United States.

From LA to Minneapolis, from sea to shining sea, taxpayers are being forced to fund fraudsters in and out of our government. It is stealing from every American who works hard and pays taxes. The House recently passed the FY2027 Agriculture Appropriations bill. In addition to crucial funding for farmers and supplemental nutrition programs like SNAP, the bill also includes $1.6 million for much-needed improvements for the Schuylkill County Courthouse.

I had a great meeting with my colleague, Congressman Ryan Mackenzie, and members of the Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern PA, including Barry Schlouch of Schlouch Inc. and Marissa Bankert, President of Associated Builders and Contractors of Eastern PA.

We discussed expanding access to apprenticeship programs and the need to end government-mandated project labor agreements.

Goalkeeper Matt Freese is originally from Wayne, Pennsylvania, and began his professional career with Bethlehem Steel FC and the Philadelphia Union before joining New York City FC.

Auston Trusty, currently with Celtic FC, is from Media, Pennsylvania. He developed his talent at a young age through the Philadelphia Union and the Eastern Pennsylvania Olympic Development Program.

Last but certainly not least is attacking midfielder Christian Pulisic, who hails from Hershey, Pennsylvania. He currently plays for AC Milan and previously represented Chelsea FC, becoming the first American to play in and win the UEFA Champions League during the 2020-21 season. Widely regarded as the most talented and accomplished American player of his generation, he has earned the nickname "Captain America."

Recently, I spoke on the House floor alongside my colleague Congressman Rob Bresnahan Jr. to honor Dr. Richard Alley, a great American and Pennsylvanian who passed away last month at 81.

Dr. Alley was born in Berwick, in the center of my district, and dedicated his life to caring for his friends and neighbors as a physician and was a proud U.S. Navy veteran.

Dr. Alley had a distinguished career in medicine, serving as an attending physician and consultant at hospitals across eastern Pennsylvania and teaching at Drexel Medical School.

Last, but certainly not least, I want to wish President Trump a Happy Birthday.

I’ve had the great fortune of not only supporting and working with President Trump, but also developing a personal friendship… I find him to be determined, patriotic, genuine, generous, smart, wise, and above all else, he loves America. I’m not sure that there’s ever been a president who is only influenced solely by what is best for America, all of America. He has the courage to be a disruptor, but in a constructive way. His common-sense approach to limit government, grow our economy and rid the world of dangers strengthens America every day.

It does take some broken eggs to make an omelet, but we are getting there, and President Trump will never, ever give up on himself or our country. Happy Birthday, President Trump.

Today, we also celebrate Flag Day and all that the American flag represents: liberty, justice, and the enduring promise of freedom.

For 251 years, the men and women of the U.S. Army have defended American shores and secured our freedoms no matter the cost. Thank you to all our soldiers for answering the call.
