Weekend Update - 11.1.26

Good evening, and welcome to our Weekend Update.

Yesterday was Halloween, and there’s a reason to be afraid. Democrats are all trick and no treat, doing everything they can to hide their records while attempting to run as Republicans to get elected.

In every debate and public appearance, Democrats are doing their best to portray themselves as moderates in an effort to fool American voters. But I am confident the American people will see through this ploy and recognize the truth. Democrats are doing everything they can to hide who they really are, all while standing with the radical left and people like Abdul El-Sayed and Hasan Piker, who have said America deserved 9/11.

Watch my interview on Newsmax, where I discuss the state of the race and emphasize the importance of getting to the polls this Tuesday. Click here or below to watch.

America is truly starting to understand what the radical left is about - flip-flops, lies, and covering up their record of past failures.

My opponent has tried her very best to hide her record, which includes working for Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and radical progressive organizations funded by George Soros, while, spreading outright lies about me and my record.

We must speak the truth, set the record straight, and remember what’s at stake in this election. Watch my interview this morning on Newsmax by clicking hereor below.

It’s always great having Speaker Mike Johnson with us in Pennsylvania!
Mike is not only a great Speaker of the House, but an exceptional individual, a man of tremendous character, and a true friend. His leadership, integrity, and commitment to the success of our country have been instrumental in advancing our agenda in Congress.
Under Speaker Johnson’s leadership, House Republicans have worked alongside President Trump to deliver historic tax relief for seniors, working families and small businesses, secure our border, expand American energy production, support our law enforcement officers, and reduce burdensome regulations. Together, we have turned many of our priorities into law and continue working to make our country stronger, safer, and more prosperous.
I always appreciate the opportunity to spend time with Mike, especially in Pennsylvania, and I am grateful for his friendship and leadership as we continue delivering results for the people of Pennsylvania’s 9th Congressional District.
And Speaker Johnson is busy sounding the alarm about the dangers of Democrat's embracing socialism. As Speaker Johnson makes clear in his USA Today op-ed, the stakes of this election could not be higher. This Tuesday, Americans are deciding not only who represents them in Congress, but who controls the House of Representatives and the direction of our country.
If Republicans lose the House, we hand the Speaker’s gavel to the radical left wing of the Democratic Party.
It could be AOC, it could be Ilhan Omar, or it could be Hakeem Jeffries. But whoever it is, they will make former Speaker Nancy Pelosi look like a right-leaning moderate. And that’s a fact. Click here or below to read this important message from Speaker Johnson.
On Monday, I had the opportunity to meet the amazing team at Luzerne County Head Start and read to some of their students.

This week, I had the opportunity to meet the amazing team at Luzerne County Head Start and read to some of their students.

Head Start is an outstanding organization that gives children the support they need to build happy, healthy lives. In Congress, I am working to ensure our government provides the funding and resources Head Start needs to continue its amazing work across our country.

Big thank you to Luzerne Head Start Executive Director Beth White, Assistant Executive Director Dawn Smith, President of the Board Stacey Kile, and everyone at Head Start Luzerne County for everything you’re doing for these kids.

We celebrated National Financial Crime Fighter Day on Monday where we recognized the law enforcement officers, investigators, and financial professionals who work tirelessly to protect Americans from fraud and scams.

As Chairman of the Financial Services Committee Republicans Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I'm committed to supporting those fighting these crimes and making sure they have the tools and resources they need. That’s why I routinely work with my colleagues in the Administration, like U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro, director of the DOJ’s Scam Center Strike Force, to coordinate our efforts.

This Congress, House Republicans passed Congressman Zach Nunn’s GUARD Act, and our committee advanced the TRAPS Act and other legislation to fight fraud and scams, like my bill, the SCAM Act.

By working together, Congress and the Trump Administration are hitting back at scammers while protecting hardworking Americans and their assets.

We had a Tuesday evening in Bucks County co-hosting an event supporting Stacy Garrity for Governor with my good friend Jim Worthington. Thank you to Jim for putting together such a terrific evening. It was also great to see Representative Kristin Marcell, Bucks County GOP Chairman Ted Christian, and Vice Chair Linda Mitchell. The energy is strong, and the momentum keeps building as we head into next Tuesday!

On Wednesday, I had a great time in Doylestown to support my colleague, Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick. Congressman Fitzpatrick is a great fit for his district and a crucial Republican voice in our congressional delegation.

We were joined by several important leaders in the House GOP, including House Majority Leader Steve Scalise and Reps. Brandon Gill, Claudia Tenney, and Tracey Mann. The path to the congressional majority runs directly through Eastern Pennsylvania, and Republicans are organized to win big.

Thank you to Don Barder for bringing us together to support a great Pennsylvania legislator.

On Wednesday evening, I was in Franklin County for the annual Eisenhower Dinner and caught up with my colleague, Dr. John Joyce!

Everywhere we go, one thing is clear: there’s a lot at stake on November 3rd and a lot worth fighting for. Let’s carry that energy all the way through Election Day!

Thank you to Fred Young and the entire Franklin County Republican Committee for their hard work throughout the year and for hosting a wonderful evening

I joined community leaders for the groundbreaking of the Coblentz Corner project in downtown Berwick.
I’m pleased to see the Coblentz Corner project breaking ground after years of preparation, coordination with state and local officials, and my office working to secure $1.5 million in federal funding to make this possible. The new Coblentz Corner facility will house a teen center, entrepreneurship academy, and restaurant incubator in the heart of Berwick.

This success demonstrates why community projects and constituent services are so important to me and my team. When we work with state and local leaders on these projects, relationships are enhanced, and we deliver strong results for residents and businesses. I’m pleased to have played a role in securing the funding for this transformation at the heart of Berwick and look forward to the many benefits it will have for the community once completed.

Thank you to Senator Lynda Schlegel Culver and Representative Robert Ledbeter for supporting this project in the state legislature, and County Commissioners Dean Brewer, Randy Karschner, and David Kovach, Berwick Borough Manager Damien Scoblink, Deputy Director of Community Strategies Group Josh Nespoli, President of the Columbia-Montour Chamber of Commerce Chris Berleth, and For The Cause Teen Center for supporting this project.

Great evening in Hamburg for the King Frost Parade with my good friend Representative Jamie Barton! It was great to see so many families out enjoying the festivities.

My wife Shelley and I had a great time Friday evening at the rally in Lehighton in support of my colleague Ryan Mackenzie, who we need to reelect on November 3! Speaker Mike Johnson joined us for the first-ever visit by a Speaker of the House to Carbon County, underscoring the importance of this race and Republican races across the country.

It was also great to see State Representative Doyle Heffley, Carbon County Commissioner Mike Sofranko, Carbon County Sheriff Dan Zeigler, Lehighton Mayor Ryan Saunders, and my good friend Ty Poole- all working hard to make sure Ryan Mackenzie is elected. My house colleague, David Taylor, from Ohio also was there to support Ryan, along with two likely new Republican members of Congress from Georgia and the state of Washington.

Everyone in that room understood what’s at stake, and the energy and enthusiasm made one thing clear: Republicans are ready to turn out on November 3!

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: We are just days from election day, and the stakes have never been higher. Click here or below to watch a new video highlighting what is at stake on Election Day.

On Tuesday, Americans will face a choice: hand over our country to the people who want to destroy it, or elect Republicans who will continue to work tirelessly to preserve our freedom, security, and prosperity.

Happy to have earned an “A” rating from the Pennsylvania Firearms Association! I will always stand strong in defense of the Second Amendment and the constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners. Thank you to PFA for this recognition!

Testimonials are rolling in from leaders across PA’s 9th! We’ll have been sharing them all week. See endorsement statements below from State Senator Lisa Baker, State Representatives Robert Leadbeter and Joe Hamm, Schuylkill County Commissioners Larry Padora and Boots Hetherington, Northumberland County Commissioner Sam Schiccatano, Lebanon County District Attorney Pier Hess Graf and Luzerne County GOP Chair Lee Ann McDermott.

This week, Josh Shapiro took time out of his schedule to trash me personally. He doesn’t even realize criticizing me for supporting tax relief on Social Security , overtime pay, tips, small businesses and working families is just stupid. Lying about cuts to health insurance and food assistance is an example of his lack of moral character.

In Harrisburg they say Josh often projects: he attributes his own feelings and insecurities onto other people. Calling me “spineless” is a projection of a nickname he doesn’t like very much, which is “Jellyfish Josh,” meaning he has no backbone. The examples of this are endless. Take his flip-flop on school choice: in his debate, he acted like he had no authority on anything and placed all responsibility on the legislature. Yet when it comes to allowing the education freedom tax credit to take effect in Pennsylvania, he won’t stand up to the special interest groups he has been bought out by.

He’s also very insecure about the fact that he engaged in stolen valor. His neighbors , and most people in Harrisburg who know him, hate him, and he doesn’t seem to mind, something someone described as a reptilian trait.

And frankly, my opponent is no better. She’s doing everything she can to hide her past while spreading lies and slander.

My opponent lied about my record on Social Security, on Medicare, and on any specific tax cuts for data centers, and slandered me by stating that I engaged in inappropriate and illegal activities regarding stock trading. None of this is accurate or remotely truthful. That is defamation, that is slander, and I will address it legally after the election because they cannot continue to lie in such a serious manner and get away with it.

She is emblematic of most Democrat candidates, pretending to be something they are not, though the record shows otherwise, and slandering their opponents.

And by the way, the media that I’ve challenged to fact-check her statements has done nothing to address the lies I’ve exposed that my opponent has repeated over and over.

Thankfully, we have great Americans who will be voting in this election, and we will be sending my opponent, a very recent former employee of billionaire anarchist George Soros, back to him shortly. I pledged that I would not knowingly state anything false or inaccurate about my opponent, and I’ve lived up to that pledge.

The best way we can shut down wild-eyed, left-wing extremism is by coming out to vote, every one of us throughout the Ninth Congressional District. Let’s say a hard no to so-called Democrat socialism and a hell yes to building America, not tearing it down.

WE ARE ON THE AIR!

Check out to our radio ad running across the 9th District. I discuss my background, my commitment to serving Pennsylvania’s 9th District, and why I’m asking for your vote on November 3rd. Hear directly from me. Click here or below to listen.

The Democrats plan to win the upcoming election is not top secret. They are counting on YOU not showing up to vote. We need to disappoint them and Swamp the Vote. Our statewide, congressional, and state legislative candidates are counting on you to support them, so they can continue to bring conservative victories home for the people of our Commonwealth.

Mail-In/Absentee Ballot Instructions:

The mail-in/absentee ballot application deadline has passed. Completed ballots must be received by November 3 by 8:00 p.m.

Please remember to vote on Tuesday, November 3. Polls are open from 7am to 8pm. To find your polling place, please click here.

If we don't vote... the socialist will win.

May God continue to bless our nation. I look forward to seeing you soon,

Dan Meuser
