Weekend Update - 10.11.26
Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.
Republicans have a plan to lower prices across the board: invest in America, expand American manufacturing and energy production, lower interest rates, and keep taxes low. When we produce more here at home and supply exceeds demand, prices come down.
Democrats don’t have a real plan. The only plan they have articulated is to raise your taxes. Raising taxes to lower costs is like trying to put out a fire with gasoline.
Watch my interview on Newsmax where I discuss the GOP’s Midterm strategy, my Financial Service’s Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations report on the Biden Administration’s failures to deliver decent public housing to American citizens, and more. Click here or below to watch.
I joined "The John Fredericks Show" this week to discuss what’s at stake this November, the critical congressional races here in Pennsylvania, and the clear choice voters have between our strong Republican candidates and today’s Democrat Party.
We also discussed my work to root out waste, fraud, and abuse across the federal government. As Chairman of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations, I also recently released a report exposing serious failures at public housing authorities across the country and the need for greater accountability over taxpayer dollars.
Republicans are fighting to protect taxpayer dollars, restore accountability in Washington, and keep our country moving in the right direction. Click here or below to watch.
IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Socialist Agenda will cost Pennsylvania Families $355k
Radical Democrat candidates and their socialist buddies like Zohran Mamdani and AOC want to implement an extreme socialist agenda if they take back the House.
And what does that socialist agenda mean for Pennsylvania families? $22,000 less in take-home pay each year, mortgage rates as high as 12%, and a $355,000 bill per household.
That’s what they all want to do if they regain power: hike taxes, drive up prices, and take more from Texans.
My team and I are working hard every day to deliver for communities in the Ninth Congressional District. From:
✅ Securing over $34 million in federal funding for community projects throughout the district
✅ Recovering $972 million from federal agencies for PA-09 residents and businesses
✅ Supporting legislation that strengthens Pennsylvania and our nation
✅ Providing best-in-class constituent service, we are committed to serving our constituents every day.
Below are a few highlights from our work over the past two years, and the dedicated people on my staff who make it possible.

Three years ago, Hamas terrorists carried out the barbaric October 7 attack on Israel, murdering more than 1,200 innocent people, including 49 Americans, and taking hundreds hostage. But Hamas did not act alone. The Iranian regime armed, funded, trained, and supported Hamas as part of its broader campaign to spread terror and chaos across the Middle East.
Iran sought to derail the growing cooperation between Israel and its Arab neighbors and was willing to use Hamas and the Palestinian people as pawns to do it. Iranian weapons and support helped enable the October 7 massacre, while Tehran knew that such an attack would provoke a devastating conflict.
October 7 demonstrated once again that Iran is not simply a destabilizing influence. It is the center of a terrorist network that uses proxies to attack innocent people, threaten our allies, and sow chaos throughout the region. That is why the United States must remain resolute in confronting Iran and its terrorist proxies and why this regime can never be allowed to possess a nuclear weapon.
President Trump has demonstrated that we can pursue peace through strength and diplomacy while resisting terrorists and the regimes that enable them. We must stand firmly against the forces of terror and work toward a lasting peace.

I attended the Schuylkill County Republican Committee Fall Dinner where we celebrated the hard work and dedication of our local leaders, volunteers, and supporters. It’s always good to catch up with friends who are committed to strengthening our communities and delivering Republican victories, including Representatives Jamie Barton, Tim Twardzik, Dane Watro, and Joanne Stehr, Senator Dave Argall, and our outstanding county and local elected officials.
With Election Day just weeks away, we must keep the momentum going, protect our House majority, and advance President Trump’s America First agenda. Schuylkill County will play a key role in getting that done!
Big thanks to Chairman Gary Feathers and the Schuylkill County Republican Committee for another memorable event and for their hard work throughout the year.

Great to join friends and supporters for a reception in support of Brenda Pugh’s campaign for State Representative! Brenda’s a conservative fighter in Harrisburg and a strong voice for our communities.
Let’s get out the vote for Brenda and deliver Republican victories up and down the ballot on November 3!

I had a great time at the Get Out the Vote Pumpkin Picnic at Rohrbach’s Farm! Great to be with Representative Robert Leadbeter and so many friends and families enjoying the fall season.
With Election Day just weeks away, make a plan to vote, encourage your friends and neighbors to do the same, and help us protect our House majority and advance President Trump’s America First agenda.
Thank you to Representative Leadbeter, the Columbia County Republican Committee, and Chairman Doyle Shadle for all their hard work putting together a great event. Let’s finish strong and deliver Republican victories across Pennsylvania!

It was great great to join the Susquehanna County Republican Committee’s Fall Rally for Gun Owners and Patriots! Thank you to Chairwoman Joy Payne-Allen, NE caucus chair Donna Cosmello, Commissioners David Darrow and Alan Hall, Representative Jonathan Fritz, and Senator Lisa Baker for their leadership and hard work.
A special thank you to NRA President Bill Bachenberg for joining us as our keynote speaker. Bill spoke about the challenges facing our country and the critical importance of getting out to vote. His message was clear: America as we know it is on the ballot.
With the left embracing socialism, the stakes could not be higher. On November 3, we must protect our freedoms, defend our Second Amendment rights, and deliver Republican victories up and down the ballot.
Make a plan to vote, bring your friends and neighbors, and make sure your voice is heard!

Last weekend, our team visited the Bloomsburg Fair. Agriculture is an important industry in our District, Commonwealth and nation. Our fairs highlight their industry and great accomplishments. The Bloomsburg Fair is the largest in the Commonwealth.
