Weekly Update - Merry Christmas!

Good morning, and welcome to our Weekend Update.

First, on behalf of the entire Meuser family, we wish you a Merry Christmas!

As President Donald Trump stated, “During the sacred season, Christians celebrate the greatest miracle in human history. More than 2,000 years ago, God sent his only begotten son to be with us. An angel announced the birth of our lord and savior to humble shepherds. He said, “I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all of the people. Today in the town of David, a savior has been born to you. He is the Messiah, the Lord. You will find a baby wrapped in clothes and lying in a manger.” At Christmas, we thank God for sending us his son to bring peace to our souls and joy to the world.”

This week was another bad week for Biden as more news regarding his family scandals continues to come to light. On at least 16 occasions, Joe Biden has said on the record that he had no knowledge of or involvement in his family’s business dealings – but we know that’s a lie. Through uncovered emails, text messages, photos, and sworn eye-witness testimony, the Oversight Committee can point to 22 specific examples of Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s influence-peddling scheme. And bank records show Joe Biden received over $240K in payments from his son, brother, and sister-in-law.

Additionally, the IRS mandates that any loan between family members be made with a signed written agreement, a fixed repayment schedule, and a minimum interest rate. Yet Joe Biden has failed to produce this documentation for the supposed $200K “loan” he made to his brother and the $40K “loan” he made to his sister-in-law. Without evidence of such a loan being made, it is possible he committed tax fraud and tax evasion. As the former Secretary of Revenue of Pennsylvania, I can tell you that classifying a payment as “loan repayments" or gifts, as the Bidens did, is often done to avoid paying taxes on large amounts of income – it’s the oldest trick in the book. The evidence is mounting against Joe Biden, and the House Republican majority will continue fighting to uncover the truth for the American people. I joined "Wake Up America" on Newsmax to discuss this further. Click here or below to watch.

I joined R.J. Harris on WHP-580 to discuss this topic and more. Click here or below to listen.

Additionally, I joined Joe McGranaghan on Newsradio 1070 WKOK regarding the most pressing topics we are dealing with, including the impeachment inquiry into Biden, border security, and more. Click here or below to listen.

This week, the Colorado Supreme Court, a highly partisan court, ruled that President Trump’s name may not be on the ballot in that state. Their attempt to remove the leading Republican candidate for President from the state’s ballot is nothing more than a political, partisan attack on our constitutional republic. This action sets a dangerous precedent and should be of grave concern to every American, regardless of political party. This ruling effectively disenfranchises millions of voters who support President Trump, and I trust that the United States Supreme Court will reverse this reckless decision quickly.

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: The Biden administration got the American people a Christmas gift… HIGHER PRICES

  • This Christmas, Americans will pay more for just about everything under the tree (and the tree itself) thanks to Bidenflation.

    • Americans expect to spend more this year on Christmas or other holiday gifts than they have in two decades.

  • This year’s Christmas price index – which calculates the price of gifts from the classic “Twelve Days of Christmas” – jumped another 2.7 percent after a 10.5 percent hike last year.

  • The average price of a Christmas tree is up 10 percent from last year, with shoppers likely to shell out between $80 to $100.

  • U.S. holiday sales are expected to rise at its slowest pace in five years as Americans are likely to pull back on holiday shopping.

Biden's big government agenda is failing. We must get our nation back on track. That begins with putting President Donald Trump back in the White House. We must also flip the U.S. Senate to the GOP and expand our GOP majorities in the U.S. House. I am committed fully to doing my part by working to ensure President Trump wins Pennsylvania in November of 2024.

It was a pleasure to join the Northeast PA Manufacturers & Employers Association to discuss strategies to support local businesses, enhance job growth, and foster a thriving economic environment in our region. Thank you to the organization's President, Darlene Robbins, for a great interview. Click here or below to listen.

On Sunday, I started the week at Commonwealth University – Bloomsburg campus, where I, along with my office, hosted our Military Service Academy Day, where we had students from across the 9th District interview with our esteemed interview committee made up of great leaders. These students interviewed for the opportunity to receive a nomination to one of the military academies. I want to thank Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and Executive Director of Economic Development and External Affairs Dan Knorr for hosting my office’s Military Service Academy Day at their institution.

On Monday evening, I was in Berks County, where my good friend Brian Clements and his lovely wife, Julie, hosted a very successful fundraiser for me that brought together many great leaders from the area. Thank you to all.

On Tuesday, I traveled around the District, attending meetings in Wyoming and Northumberland Counties. We finished the day by hosting a great Christmas party at the Americus Hose Company in Sunbury. We had over 100 people in attendance, including my fellow legislators, Senator Lynda Culver, State Rep. Mike Stender, State Rep. Joanne Stehr, and many of our county commissioner friends.

On Thursday, I got to catch up with some great friends in Schuylkill County at Francesco‘s in Shenandoah for the Jack Rich family company Christmas party. I am pictured below with State Rep. Jamie Barton, Bill Groody, Francesco, Brian Rich, and Ed Winkelbauer. For the record, Francescos is as good as it gets. Trust me, you will thank me for recommending it!

On Thursday evening, I attended a special meeting of the Berks County Patriots, where we honored veterans and thanked them for so bravely serving our country. President Ronald Reagan said it best: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction."

I hope you have a happy, healthy, and very Merry Christmas!

We look forward to catching up with you next week. God Bless, and see you soon,

Dan Meuser
