Weekly Update - 4.7.24

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.

President Biden has attempted to tout strong job performance numbers, but we know the data is inflated by immigration. Coming out of COVID, there were many jobs to be filled, and as it turns out, a new report indicates that it’s likely 1.7 million of 2.7 million new jobs under Biden were filled by illegal immigrants.

If you want a real example of strong job growth, look at President Donald J. Trump and his administration, which created 7 million new jobs from 2017 through 2019. I joined the "American Agenda" on Newsmax to discuss the issue. Click here or below to watch.

I joined “The Evening Edit” on Fox Business to discuss Joe Biden’s call with the Chinese President Xi. While we would like to trust our President, the White House has released very little information about Biden’s call with President Xi. The American people deserve to know if President Biden truly stood up for American interests on the call or if he continued his policy of appeasement.

The United States must always deal from a position of strength, and we do that by being the most competitive economy in the world. Yet President Biden regularly proposes tax increases and burdensome rules and regulations, which impede our ability to compete with China. We must unleash the American economy to keep our adversaries at bay. Click here or below to watch my interview.

On Wednesday, I spent the day with my good friend Dave McCormick, our GOP candidate for U.S. Senate. We made stops across Luzerne County and Lehigh County. It’s imperative that Dave wins this race, and we must do everything we can to support him and his campaign. Former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum and U.S. Senator Steve Daines from the great state of Montana joined us. Special thanks to Brenda and Alan Pugh for hosting at Amp in Shavertown.

On Thursday morning, I was happy to attend the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce Legislative Breakfast in Tunkhannock. With a turnout of more than 100 chamber members and business and community leaders, I appreciated the opportunity to be part of the panel discussion alongside PA State Rep.Tina Pickett and Senator Lisa Baker. Among several topics, I answered audience questions about the crisis at our southern border, American energy policies, and the current political landscape in Washington, D.C. Thank you to Chamber President Gina Suydam and Board Chairman Matthew Shaffer for the invitation.

On Thursday evening, Heidi and Tom Masano were kind enough to invite us and many others into her home in Berks County for an event in support of my campaign. Great friends like them allow us to support our campaign and multiple campaigns across the state and the country.

On Friday, I went to Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania Leadership Conference. Before getting there, I stopped in at a great fundraiser for Maria Montero, who is running in the 7th congressional district. Maria was joined by special Vivek Ramaswamy, who recently endorsed her campaign.

On Saturday morning, I gave remarks at the Leadership Conference on many important issues facing the State and Nation. Thank you to Lowman Henry and the PLC board for their efforts and excellent work.

You could feel the enthusiasm for President Donald J. Trump and the upcoming election at the conference. That enthusiasm extends to Republican candidates up and down the ballot, from our U.S. Senate candidate Dave McCormick to our great GOP ticket of statewide row officers, State Treasurer Stacy Garrity, Auditor General Tim DeFoor, and our endorsed GOP Attorney General candidate Dave Sunday. Pennsylvanians are also fired up about maintaining and expanding our majority in the U.S. House.

Our team continues to promote ballot applications, early voting, maximizing mail-in ballot returns for infrequent voters and those who might have a conflict on Election Day, and protecting the integrity of all citizen voter ballots. Mail-in ballot applications are now available. Since I am in session on Primary Day, my ballot application is in, and I will be voting by mail, EARLY!  For more information on how to request a mail-in or absentee ballot, click here

I joined a team of committed Republicans fighting to ensure we win the mail-in ballot war.

On Saturday night, I was pleased to join the Columbia County Republican Committee for a dinner in Berwick. It was an energetic crowd and well-attended. It was great spending time with State Senator Lynda Culver, State Rep Robert Leadbeter, and Attorney General Candidate Dave Sunday.

In another critical congressional race in Pennsylvania, I encourage everyone to support Republican candidate Rob Bresnahan. Rob is running in the 8th Congressional District. We must expand our Republican majority in the U.S. House. On Monday, April 8th, from 4:30-5:30 p.m., House Majority Leader Steve Scalise is attending a Rally for Rob. I will be there too; please join us. To RSVP, please email  [email protected]. A location will be provided upon RSVP.

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Never has an American president defended illegal aliens before his country’s citizens — until Biden.

His campaign doubled down with a new hoax.

Biden’s campaign used an out-of-context, seven-second clip to fabricate a claim that President Trump called immigrants “animals.”

It’s yet another hoax.

President Trump was remembering Laken Riley, a “22-year-old nursing student in Georgia who was barbarically murdered by an illegal alien animal. The Democrats say, ‘Please don’t call them animals. They're humans.’ I said, ‘No, they’re not humans, they’re not humans — they're animals.’”

It’s brazen misinformation from Biden’s campaign (which has never posted about illegal immigration), all in a bad attempt at advancing their demented, pro-illegal immigration agenda. And it comes just weeks after Biden apologized to the accused illegal alien killer for using the word “illegal” and screwed up the pronunciation of Laken Riley’s name.

Why is Biden showing more “empathy” to illegal aliens than American citizens? We need to reelect President Trump, tackle our illegal immigration crisis, and restore order to the United States.

We celebrated Gold Star Spouses Day on Friday; we recognize and honor the spouses of the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice while defending the safety and security of our country. Let us honor the fallen by extending our unwavering support to their families and ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.

We look forward to catching up with you next week. God Bless, and see you soon,

Dan Meuser
