Weekly Update - 3.3.24

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update.

While we are just days away from Super Tuesday, President Donald J. Trump's dominating victories have catapulted him to the GOP nomination. It is time to rally around President Trump and focus on the November election. There has never been more at stake. All you have to do is look to our southern border to see how the Biden administration has failed our nation. Under Biden, every state is a border state. It is beyond infuriating when you think about how President Trump implemented policies that secured our southern border. From building the wall to implementing the "Remain in Mexico" policy, Trump had our nation's borders more secure and was having a tangible impact on slowing the flow of illegal immigrants and deadly drugs into our nation.

I joined Newsmax’s “American Agenda” for an interview to discuss Biden's border crisis. We also covered the full-year appropriations deal and Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s influence-peddling scheme. Click here or below to watch.

From bank and phone records to documented meetings, emails, photographs, White House visitor logs, and more, a mountain of evidence shows Joe Biden’s involvement in his family’s shady business dealings.

Watch my good friend, Congressman James Comer, Chairman of the House Oversight Committee, lay out the case against the Biden family’s influence-peddling scheme. Click here or below to watch.

On day one, this President reversed many successful border policies implemented by the Trump Administration that kept our nation safe.

Joe Biden ended Remain in Mexico, halted border wall construction, loosened asylum requirements, and issued a moratorium on deportations – essentially telling the world our border was and is wide open. And since that time, there have been more than 8.5 million illegal border crossings, as well as an estimated 1.7 million got-aways.

So why did President Biden take these actions – ideological idiocy.

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Biden wrapped up his brief, carefully orchestrated photo op in Brownsville.

The main takeaway? Biden couldn’t care less about the border crisis he created — or the tragic consequences that have resulted.

Biden spent just 19 minutes at the border itself (in an area currently seeing relatively few illegal crossings):

Then, he shuffled out as quickly as he came in.

Biden left the key question unanswered: why doesn’t he reverse the actions he took to dismantle border security in the first place? After all, he has all the authority he needs to secure the border and end the crisis right now.

He just doesn’t want to.

As we continue to discuss financial aid for Ukraine, American taxpayers deserve a high level of accountability. I authored an op-ed speaking outlining my position in the Scranton Times Tribune. Click here or below to read.

On Monday, I was happy to be at Bucknell University to participate in the Open Discourse Coalition's panel discussion entitled “The Changing Face of College Athletics and What it Means for Society.” I was pleased to join a diverse group of college sports experts, including Greg Schiano, former NFL head coach and current head football coach at Rutgers University, Donald Remy, former NCAA Chief Operating Officer, and John Feinstein, best-selling sports author, commentator, and columnist – as well as moderator, Carol Stiff, President of Stiff Sports Media LLC. Our focus was on the future of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) and the potential impact of federal legislative action on the college sports landscape. Notably among the attendees was my son, who plays football at Bucknell. This event was a unique opportunity to engage in meaningful discussion with industry professionals to shed light on the complex intersection of athletics, government, and academia. I would like to thank the Open Discourse Coalition and Bucknell Athletics for hosting this great event and for the invitation to join.

I hosted the Pennsylvania Co-operative Potato Growers, Inc. in my Washington, DC office. We addressed the ongoing challenges facing potato farmers in the Commonwealth and nationwide. As consideration of the Farm Bill approaches, we also discussed ways Congress can support potato growers and the entire Pennsylvania agriculture industry.

This week, I attended a fundraiser hosted by Congressman Guy Reschenthaler for GOP congressional candidates Rob Mercuri and Rob Bresnahan. They both will be excellent additions to U.S. Congress and our Pennsylvania GOP delegation, and I look forward to supporting them this year. (Pictured below with Rob Mercuri)

There was a huge representation and turnout for the Millionaire Magic Cheer Festival, which was hosted at the Williamsport Area High School today. Thanks to all the volunteers, parents and, of course, all the girls participating! I thank Stephanie Wahl and my friends in Sayre for the opportunity to make remarks and extend support.

We look forward to catching up with you next week. God Bless, and see you soon,

Dan Meuser
