Montour Commissioners Dan Hartman and Ken Holdren Endorse Dan Meuser for Congress

POTTSVILLE – Today, the Meuser for Congress Campaign announced that Dan Meuser, Republican nominee for the 9th Congressional District, has received the endorsement from Montour County Commissioners Dan Hartman and Ken Holdren.

“We are proud to endorse Dan Meuser for Congress because we know he is committed to partnering with local elected officials to take on the problems affecting our region together,” said Commissioners Hartman and Holdren. “Dan has been active working with the local communities to have discussions on important issues and get feedback for how to address issues like tax, immigration and healthcare reform, infrastructure investment, economic development as well as ways we must address the deadly opioid epidemic. As a businessman, Dan wants to go to Washington to be a conservative problem-solver and that is exactly what our country needs.”

Dan added, “Commissioners Ken Holdren and Dan Hartman are not career politicians. Each had long successful careers in the public sector and now they are giving back through public service. That is exactly why I am running for Congress. We need more elected officials concerned with serving the public, rather than themselves. That is why I support government reform efforts like term limits, lobbying bans for elected officials and government appointees and a balanced budget amendment to the United States Constitution. I want to thank Commissioners Holdren and Hartman for their endorsement, but most of all for their service to their community.”

Montour County Commissioners Ken Holdren and Dan Hartman were both elected to office in 2015. Holdren served 30-plus years as a certified public accountant and a Geisinger Medical Center official. He retired as chief administrative officer of Geisinger Clinic. Hartman has 40 years’ experience in business as a licensed real estate broker from 1982 until 2007. He has operated Hartman Appraisals since 1992.

Dan Meuser is a Candidate for U.S. Congress. Dan has served both as a private sector businessman responsible for helping create thousands of jobs and as Secretary of the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Dan has been endorsed by countless elected officials, including Berks County Commissioner Christian Leinbach, Carbon County CommissionerTom Gerhard and Lebanon County Commissioners Bill Ames and Bob Phillips.
