POTTSVILLE– The Meuser for Congress campaign released Dan Meuser’s statement on President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the United States Supreme Court.
“I applaud President Trump’s nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill Justice Anthony Kennedy’s seat on the Supreme Court of the United States,” Meuser said. "Judge Kavanaugh is a serious-minded constructionist who projects himself as a strong family man who also understands the importance of giving back to his community through service.
"Judge Kavanaugh’s record shows his commitment to the Constitution and the people and freedoms it protects and the government it limits. I believe he will be a great addition to the Supreme Court.
“The liberal left-wing will work overtime to block the confirmation of a Judge who as a record of upholding the Constitution and interpreting the law as written. It appears the liberals only mission is to hold things up, not to help the American people. We cannot afford to add more liberals to Congress and that is why It is important that voters pay attention to where congressional candidates fall on this important decision. The people of the 9thCongressional District don’t want a congressman who will blindly join the party of NO. They want someone who will work to get things done for the hard-working people of our District.
“I encourage the U.S. Senate to confirm Judge Kavanaugh as soon as possible.”
