9th District:  Today, Dan Meuser, Republican nominee for United States Congress, received the endorsement from Congressman G.T. Thompson (PA-5), the Vice Chairman of the Agriculture Committee and Chairman of the Subcommittee on Nutrition.

“I am proud to endorse Dan Meuser for Congress because he will put America and Pennsylvania First,” Thompson said. “Dan will be a great voice for Pennsylvania farmers. As Revenue Secretary, Dan helped to write tax reform which included eliminating the inheritance tax on family farms. In that position, Dan also responded quickly and extended the date to file state taxes for farmers from March 1 to April 15, keeping the deadline consistent with the federal requirements that year. These were important measures that helped all Pennsylvania farmers.

“Dan is a conservative problem-solver who we can trust to fight tenaciously for his constituents to deliver results, especially our family farmers. I look forward to him joining us in Washington to push for the America First Agenda by making tax reform permanent, securing our border, Draining the Swamp and getting rid of Obamacare.
