WHAT: Opioid Roundtable Discussion

WHEN: August 1st at Noon

“We need people in office who are focused on solutions to this devastating problem,” said Corey McCabe, “While Alive2day does not endorse any particular candidate, this issue must be bipartisan. Dan Meuser has demonstrated a commitment to doing just that. We speak regularly about the issues and common sense solutions. In Schuylkill County alone, we’ve had forty-four opioid-related deaths only half way through this year. We had fifty-one all of last year. The trend is moving in the wrong direction. We must act and fast. I do not want one more family to endure what I have.”

“Corey McCabe and other grassroots members of the recovery community understand the terrible impact opioid addiction has had on our families and communities,” said Meuser. “The issues are clear. It’s time to get to work on solutions. Those who are participating in this roundtable have great ideas to make a real impact. If elected to Congress, tackling the opioid epidemic will be one of my top priorities."

Dan Meuser is a candidate for Congress representing the 9th District. Dan has served both as a private sector businessman responsible for helping create thousands of jobs and as Secretary of the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

Dan has received the endorsements of top law enforcement officials including Lebanon County District Attorney Dave Arnold and Sheriff Bruce Klingler, Luzerne County District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis, Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo and Hazleton Chief of Police Jerry Speziale.
