Mayor Dane Watro of McAdoo Borough Endorses Dan Meuser for Congress

POTTSVILLE –The Meuser for Congress Campaign announces receiving the endorsement from Mayor Dane Watro of McAdoo.

"Dan Meuser and I have spoken about the need to keep our communities safe, bring economic prosperity to the region and to rebuild our roads. I am confident he will work closely with local elected officials such as myself to help our region have the infrastructure and economic environment we need to prosper," said Mayor Watro, "Additionally, as a veteran of the Iraq War, I know Dan is committed to a strong national defense and taking care of our veterans, and that matters to me."

"It is an honor to receive the endorsement of Mayor Dane Watro for many reasons. Prior to being Mayor, Dane served our nation in Iraq, among things, personally guarding the Ace of Spades, Saddam Hussein following his capture. When Dane came home from war, he continued his commitment to service by becoming Mayor of McAdoo, and I know he is someone who fights for what is right for the people he represents.  He's a man of integrity who exemplifies the meaning of service. I look forward to working with him and the people of McAdoo."

Mayor Dane Watro was the first Republican to be elected Mayor of McAdoo in over a half a century and, after a brief hiatus in between terms, is serving for Mayor of the Borough for the second time. He has been committed to improving community police efforts to fight the scourge of drugs, among his many priorities. After re-enlisting in the military following 9/11, Watro was hand-picked by the FBI for guard duty of Saddam Hussein in 2004.

Dan Meuser is a Candidate for US Congress. Dan has served both as a private sector businessman responsible for helping create thousands of jobs and as Secretary of the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
