Dan Meuser Earns Endorsement of Agricultural Leader Keith Eckel

9th District:  Today, Dan Meuser, Republican candidate for United States Congress, received the endorsement from Master Farmer, past President of the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau, accomplished businessman and an agricultural leader Keith Eckel.

“I am proud to endorse Dan Meuser for Congress in the 9th District because he is a strong conservative candidate who will not only put America First, but Pennsylvania farmers first,” Eckel said. “As Revenue Secretary, Dan worked on and helped pass tax reform which included eliminating the inheritance tax on family farms. In that position, Dan also responded quickly and extended the date to file state taxes for farmers from March 1 to April 15, keeping the deadline consistent with the federal requirements that year. These were important measures that helped all Pennsylvania famers.

Eckel concluded, “Dan is an accomplished businessman and understands how important it is for Washington, D.C. to get rid of unnecessary regulations that hurt the agricultural industry and our farm families.”

“Keith Eckel is a highly respected farmer, businessman and is a leader who is well-known throughout the agricultural industry and I am proud to have his support,” Meuser said. “I have had the good fortune to know Keith for over ten years and he has been a great friend and has become a real mentor, particularly on agricultural issues. Agriculture is the leading industry in the 9th Congressional District, and having Keith advising me on issues regarding dairy, livestock and crop farmers is invaluable.”

Dan Meuser is a candidate for U.S. Congress. Dan has served both as a private sector businessman responsible for helping create thousands of jobs and as Secretary of the Department of Revenue for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
