Weekly Update - 3.23.25

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update. It was a great night in Philly with President Donald J. Trump, Elon Musk, Senator Dave McCormick, Congressman Jim Jordan, and so many others as we cheered on Penn State at the NCAA Division I Wrestling Championships. Congratulations to the Nittany Lions on clinching their 13th NCAA title—an incredible achievement by a truly dominant program. We proudly support these outstanding athletes and celebrate a big win for Pennsylvania! And 99.9% of the crowd, regardless of which program or wrestler they were there to cheer on, agreed on one thing - they love President Trump and his policy agenda to Make America Great Again. He received thunderous applause and chants of USA, USA! It was a great night to celebrate Penn State, wrestling, and America! Weekly Update - 3.16.25

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update. This week, Congress passed a Continuing Resolution to fund the federal government for six months. The Continuing Resolution we just passed does not cut Medicaid, Social Security, Medicare, or veterans’ benefits—despite Democrats’ false claims. In reality, it gives our troops a raise, invests in veterans’ healthcare, and supports women, infants, and seniors—all while keeping the government open. This legislation sets the stage for a new Golden Age in America. Click here or below to watch my comments on the Continuing Resolution. Unfortunately, and perhaps predictably, House Democrats voted against a Continuing Resolution that cuts $20 billion from the IRS and redirects $10 billion from the Commerce Department’s Slush fund to invest in our veterans, military, seniors, and working families—all while keeping the government open. 10% pay raise for our troops $6 B for veterans' healthcare $7.6 B for WIC to support women and infants $12 billion to bolster our Naval fleet $425M for food delivery to seniors

Good afternoon, and welcome to our Weekend Update. President Donald J. Trump addressed a Joint Session of Congress this week. President Trump reaffirmed his commitment to the Renewal of the American Dream and made clear that Promises Made, Promises Kept is not just a slogan—it’s a reality. After four years of failed policies, soaring inflation, open borders, and global instability under Biden, we now have a President focused on securing our nation, restoring prosperity, and ensuring every American has the opportunity to achieve success. While many Democrats resorted to political theatrics and an inexcusable lack of basic decorum—resulting in one member being thrown out—President Trump stayed focused on the issues that matter: delivering results for the American people. The American Dream is back within reach, and with strong leadership, the government can work for the people, not against them. Congressman Dan Meuser is a proven job creator and dedicated public servant and community leader. First elected to Congress in 2018, Dan currently Pennsylvania’s 9th District in. As a member of the 118th Congress, Dan currently serves on the House Financial Services Committee and Small Business Committee. On the Small Business Committee, Dan chairs the subcommittee on Economic Growth, Tax and Capital Access.
